Manuel Rosales – the ONLY candidate

There are a total of 17 candidates vying against President Chávez in the December 3rd presidential elections. However, if you read the opposition press in Venezuela, Manuel Rosales is portrayed as the “ONLY” candidate of the opposition and the others hardly get a look in. Hmm…if Rosales is the ONLY candidate, then why is this the case? Thinking about it, I now understand why Rosales is really UNIQUE.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate even though there are 16 others competing

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who took part in the 2002 coup d’état.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who signed the Carmona decree

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who promoted street closures and violence

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who promoted strikes and sabotage in the oil industry

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who is trying to separate Zulia from the rest of Venezuela.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who is being financed directly by Bush

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who contracts known criminals for security purposes.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who dares to talk so much rubbish in public

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who dreams of having a TV debate with Chávez

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who is totally ignorant about national and international reality.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who confuses chalk with cheese, and mermaids with whales

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who is certain that if someone kills him he will die.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who has printed lorry loads of electoral material.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who kisses his supporters and then immediately wipes his mouth.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who dares call Venezuelans “parasites”.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who steals and violates the colors of other political parties

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who has all the coup mongering private media outlets at his service.

Rosales is the ONLY candidate who believes in the opinion polls published in the media

Rosales is the ONLY idiot who believes that he can defeat President Chávez in the elections.

I should recognize the fact and agree with his publicity consultants, Rosales is UNIQUE, and there is no other like him in our electoral history, and there will not be another candidate who is as erratic, so stupid, so traitorous, so cowardly, so vile, so mendacious, so corrupt, so dull and anti-patriotic as he is. I hope this helps people understand why Rosales is the ONLY candidate.
